There are two types of fill lights available on the market now: LED fill lights and xenon flash lights. LED fill lights use LED light-emitting diodes to fill in the light of the subject. As the brightness of LED light-emitting diodes is much lower than that of real flash lights, they can only play a "fill in" role. LEDs do not emit light through electron transitions within atoms, but rather by applying voltage to both ends of the PN junction of the LED, causing the PN junction itself to form an energy level at which electrons jump and produce photons to emit light.
